Cacti Template for HP Microserver Gen8

Configuration with upgrades:
  • HP Microserver Gen8 G1610T
  • 1x Intel Xeon E3-1240v2
  • 2x HDD WD40EFRX (4Tb, 64Mb cache, RAID 10 with using of HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i Controller)
  • 1x SSD Silicon Power V70 240 Gb
  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • BIOS J06 08/24/2013
  • iLo 1.32 Nov 05 2013

Xeon E3-1240v2 has 4 cores with Hyper-threading. Max TDP is 69W. It has Thermal Monitoring Technologies.
    no power microcontroller

HP Microserver Gen8 has 11 temperature sensors:
    no power microcontroller

HP Microserver Gen8 contains no power measurement microcontroller:
    no power microcontroller

For power measurement I used APC Smart-UPS 1500VA. A graph below shows when a server was powered on/off and loaded by Prime95.
Based on information below a server consumes 4% (idle) ... 10% (100% CPU load by Prime95 during 35-40 minutes), or about 42...105W.

The following pictures are drawn by Cacti template, which can be downloaded from this page.
Fan and temperature sensors are marked as "Chassis # - Index # (type)". Index# is the same as shown on iLo page.

HP Microserver Gen8 has only one system fan.

    Update on Jan 4, 2014:
  • some minor fixes;
  • cpu, drives, logical drives, ilo NIC are added.

    drive temp

    logical drive

    iLo NIC

    iLo NIC

    Template configuration
  • need to use iLo4 IP address as host IP address
  • it is not required to have loaded OS to get SNMP data from iLo4
  • tested with Cacti 0.8.8b

Download template for Cacti: here (iLo4 SNMP, XML)
I guess it may work with many HP Gen8 servers with iLo4.
